My education here it’s given me a lot of confidence just because I know what I’m doing when I go out somewhere. So I’m more confident and then in my career it gave me the basis to get fully involved in the HVAC career from the start.
I chose to come to this Fortis Institute because it was relatively close and I heard good things, like the instructors they’re not just teachers telling you what to do, they all have actual field experience, which I thought was great.
The reason why I chose HVAC was because it was 4 trades in one. I learned plumbing, I learned electricity, I learned construction on top of learning HVAC. What I do now is I’m an installer for one of the top companies in the region and what I find most satisfying about my job is being able to provide other people with comfort.
My education here at Fortis has set me up to succeed. It set me up to first of all to pass my NCLEX, which without that you can’t be a nurse and to be a nurse for me has been remarkable. I feel an amount of confidence that I’ve never felt before, a set of purpose.
